Overall a good trim router. So far my first and only use has been to rout out an opening in a router table for an insert plate and lift. It had no trouble plunging in 3/8"and removing a 1 inch thick band around the perimeter of the opening to support the plate. A few minor issues out of the box: both the fixed and plunge bases were not centered over the spindle. Since they were mounted with conical-head screws and the holes had no "wiggle room," I had to replace them with round head screws and enlarge the holes to allow centering of the bases. Also, the plastic dust collector for the plunge base was warped to the extent that it would not fit into the opening provided for it. I had to use a heat gun to melt it into the correct shape. The fixed base has a gear to engage with the rack on the router body but no knob to assist with fine adjustment. Finally, I found it impossible to remove a bit from the 1/4" collet without removing the nut and collet from the spindle first. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong but it seems to require potentially damaging force to remove the bit with the collet in the spindle. These small issues aside, it's hard to imagine a better value for a variable-speed router that comes with 2 bases and an assortment of accessories.

I have about 12 routers, Festool, milwaukee, porter cable, and dewalt.
I bought this router to prove that my favorite routers (Milwaukee and Festool) are superior. Lets face it, routers spin bits, you have a great bit and spin it around, you have what you wanted. This was a huge surprise to have this equipment perform flawlessly. Can't go wrong for a small router with lots of options.

Good but with limits.
I have a massive 1500W plunge router but have always longed for a small trim router. Wasn't prepared to spend big bucks on a whim, so I bought one of these. And I'm not disappointed to the extent that with hindsight, perhaps I should have bought an expensive branded router. PROS; easy to handle, soft start, variable speed, (with eye protection) easy to see what you're doing. CONS; my biggest hate is the chuck, it's a pig to change bits. The depth adjustment is also a bit sus but it somehow works. My mantra is, if the positives outweigh the negatives, it's a good thing. And this Vevor overall is a good thing, especially for the money.

Great little tool
Easy set up, light, comes with router set. Need two spanners to change router bit. Would be better if it had a button to lock spindle.

Very happy with the product. It was orange, and cylindrical, and came with a motor, and cable, and all the tools required to use it. A great buy.

Poor/wrong collet quality
The motor part is terrific! Soft start and variable speed is great. The collets - terrible. It comes with a badly finished single slot 8mm short collet that's very difficult to get to run true (design issue). "Fitted" in the spindle was an ER11 6mm collet. It doesn't fit: wrong taper, wrong length, wrong collet nut. What were you thinking? The package also came with a nicely presented set of router cutters - with 1/4" (6.35mm) shanks. They obviously don't fit into the 6mm collet supplied. Vevor is normally fussy with quality of their sources. This time they slipped up badly! I haven't decided what to do yet. Maybe they'll source some collets that actually fit for me? Does anyone know if Makita collets fit? So I can buy some that run true?

Decent router...
I needed a dedicated router for a circle jig since my jasper jig broke. I paired this up with a 30 dollar jig just for circle cutting. It works good, and a good value for the money. I had a small issue and contacted the seller, and they took care of me in a timely fashion. If it's your first router or a back up just get it you won't be disappointed.
