My husband has used this for various projects up in his barn, and he’s looking for an engine hoist which will be its long term assignment. He’s pleased with it so far and hasn’t had any issues. Vevor items we’ve ordered have all been satisfactory— not top of the line, but certainly functional.

Pump does leak slowly whether under pressure or no loads over several hours...not days. Make sure you continue to check your lift.

This VEVOR Hydraulic Long Ram Jack, 8 Ton Engine Hoist Cylinder with Double Piston Pump is a serious bit of equipment. While there is an engine swap planned (initially for last fall, now heading toward next summer when I have enough time), my older home had a beam that needed reinforcing, and I was able to give the Vevor ram jack a trial. Worked great out of the box and was easy to get precise \"nudges\" up to the desired height. That would be even more essential for the engine swap, so glad I was able to trial this before doing the big job on a heavy big block V8. Reasonable price, especially compared to similar items, and good quality. Have other beams that need a mend, as well as the engine job, ahead, so looking forward to having the right tool for the job to make the job go a little easier.
